Asterneko Launcher ("the Software") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Software.
1. Information We Collect
Authentication Information: When you use Microsoft authenticated login, the Software obtains your Minecraft account information through the Microsoft OAuth process, including but not limited to your Xbox gamertag, Minecraft UUID, and username. This information is used solely for the Mojang API authentication process required to launch the game. Local Data: The Software stores configuration data locally on your device, including but not limited to account caches, launch parameters, mod lists, and instance settings. MuoCeon Cloud Sync Data: When you use the cloud sync feature, the Software uploads the following data to MuoCeon servers for cross-device synchronization: third-party skin site data, account preference settings, mod version metadata markers, and compressed configuration files. Save files are not synced automatically by default — unless you explicitly enable forced sync in settings, saves require manual sync.
2. How We Use Information
Microsoft OAuth tokens are used exclusively to authenticate your identity with the Mojang API to launch the game. Your Minecraft account information is used solely for: - Completing the game launch authentication process - Displaying account information within the launcher interface - Syncing skin and cape data MuoCeon Cloud Sync data is used solely for: - Cross-device synchronization of skins, account preferences, and launcher settings - Syncing mod version markers and configuration file metadata We do not use your information for any other purpose, nor do we sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Authentication tokens and local account caches are stored exclusively on your local device. Cloud sync data (skin site information, account preference data, mod version markers, compressed configuration files) is stored on MuoCeon servers solely for cross-device synchronization. Save files are not uploaded by default unless you explicitly enable forced sync. We recommend that you keep your device secure and regularly update your operating system and security software to protect your data.
4. Third-Party Services
The Software integrates the following third-party services: - Microsoft / Mojang API: for account authentication and game launching - CurseForge / Modrinth API: for mod browsing and downloading - Third-party skin site APIs: for skin data retrieval and synchronization Additionally, MuoCeon Cloud Sync is provided by MuoCeon's own servers for cross-device synchronization of skins, account preferences, mod version markers, and configuration file metadata. These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies to understand their data handling practices.
5. Children's Privacy
The Software is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
